• Q. How long does each course take?
  A. Our courses are designed for working professionals, and each course can be completed over a weekend. Our courses are self-paced, so the total duration of the course can vary based on the time dedicated by each student. Reflection, written and assessment activities can also vary in length, but the approximate length of each certificate course is 15 clock hours, and 45 total clock hours for the 3-course master certification.
• Q. How would you describe the format of the course?
  A. Each course is divided into 5 units or modules. Prior to watching the lecture videos, students are provided with pre-lecture activities such as a list of key terms & definitions, self-reflection topics and interactive activities. Next, students watch a series of videos with SGE subject matter experts. While watching, closed-captioning and transcripts are available and some of the longer videos are divided into chapters so students can re-watch any segment they choose to. After the lectures are complete, students are encouraged to take advantage of the additional resources, action items, and reflection guides, before completing the 10-question quiz at the conclusion of each module. Each course concludes once all 5 modules are successfully passed.
• Q. Is there a registration deadline?
  A. No; because the classes are self-paced, students can sign-up and start at any time..
• Q. Is the course led by live instructors, and are there specific times that students need to be logged in to participate?
  A. No; all lectures are pre-recorded, high-quality videos that students can access at any time. Students can choose to complete the course at their own pace and schedule.
• Q. After students complete each course, can I go back and access the videos and resources? How long is my access good for?
  A. Yes; students have access to each individual course, as well as its resources and lecture videos, for 90 days from the date of purchase. Course bundles have an access limit of 270 days.
• Q. Will this certificate program help me get a job in the sports gambling industry?
  A. No single course can guarantee someone a job in the sports betting industry. However, a broad background in traditional business skills, an understanding of where to look for job openings, plus a well-designed course and a network of industry contacts will better prepare an individual for entry into the sports betting industry.
• Q: Can my employer be provided with an invoice for tuition payment, if I am completing my SGE coursework as employer-sponsored professional development?
  A: Yes, the SGE admissions staff can work with your employer to invoice and set-up direct payment for any course or course bundle.

• Q. What are the job prospects in the sports betting industry?
  A. The sports betting industry is growing so rapidly that industry observers anticipate a shortage of qualified, educated individuals to fill a variety of positions. One of the most valuable aspects of the Sports Gambling Education certificate is that it provides a broad overview to the industry and stakeholders within it. The course introduces some of the key sports betting stakeholders including state regulators, sportsbook operators, media companies, trade organizations and niche service providers (mobile integration, integrity, geo-compliance, data analysis, etc.)

• Q. Will I get something from Ohio University to demonstrate that I've completed the course?
  A.Yes, students earn a certificate of completion for each course, and a Master Certification for completing three.
• Q. Is there a tuition payment plan?
  A.No, SGE does not offer payment plans at this time. However tuition can be paid easily online using any major credit card.
• Q. Is there a discount for Ohio University alumni?
